LOTTA STORIES 2004 $500.00
24" X 36" Acrylic on canvas
In this piece, I am trying to express the intense “cold” of that place, as well as an interesting piece of architecture. This is the old South East Tower at Saskatchewan Penitentiary built in 1911. Anyone who has lived or worked in a place like this will understand it best. There is no greater sense of cold than a prison wall in the depths of winter. Ravens are definitely a part of this institution. Perhaps one has to spend time here in order to truly understand their significance – most often comic relief. There is definitely a "Lotta Stories" those old walls could tell.
